Dr. Hudson is a board-certified dermatologist in North Texas who brings more than just clinical expertise to his practice—he brings a genuine calling to care for people. Specializing in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology for patients of all ages, he treats conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails with compassion and excellence.
Driven by a deep love for others and a steadfast commitment to integrity, Dr. Hudson was led not only into the field of medicine, but into private practice—where he could serve patients freely, with honesty and heart. Guided by his faith, he approaches dermatology holistically, taking time to understand and care for the whole person, not just their symptoms.
Education and Training
Dr. Hudson was raised in Bushland, Texas, a small town just outside of Amarillo. Growing up in a medical family—his father an Emergency Room physician and his mother a family medicine practitioner—he was exposed to the world of healthcare from an early age.
After graduating from high school, Dr. Hudson accepted a football scholarship to Oklahoma State University. Following a career-ending injury, he transferred to Abilene Christian University on a track and field scholarship. There, he became an All-American in the discus throw and discovered his passion for a career in medicine.
He would go on to earn his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society for being among the top of his class. He also received the Buesseler Award, given to the most outstanding medical student as selected by the faculty, and the prestigious Gold Headed Cane Award, recognizing the student who best exemplifies the qualities of a compassionate and competent physician.
Dr. Hudson completed his intern year at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, where he was honored as Intern of the Year. He then completed his dermatology residency at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident in his final year.
Community Service
Dr. Hudson's deep compassion for others is what truly sets him apart, even beyond his medical expertise. He has mentored—and continues to mentor—numerous high school and college-aged men who are exploring careers in medicine. Guided by a desire to use the talents and resources God has entrusted to him, Dr. Hudson is committed to serving those who cannot care for themselves. This calling has led him to partner with CommonGood Medical, where he joins other healthcare professionals in providing dermatologic care to underserved members of the community.
Personal
Dr. Hudson and his wife, Peyton, are proud of three young children and enjoy spending time together as a family. Much of his free time is spent coaching his sons' sports teams or enjoying spontaneous dance parties with his daughters. He is also actively involved at Cottonwood Creek Church, where he co-leads a Bible study. Dr. Hudson's faith influences every aspect of his life and overflows into the way he cares for both his staff and patients—driving him to provide exceptional medical care in a compassionate and loving environment.

Dr. Hudson is one of the best, most kind doctors I have ever met! He explains things incredibly well, extremely knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. My wife and I traveled 3 hours to see him and he really took care of us and made us feel like we were the only patients he had to see that day with the amount of time he spent with us!
